Experiencing the Joy of Jesus

The Heart of the matter

♥ In spite of all Jesus had to endure, He was joyful.

"The Lord has filled my heart with joy; I feel very strong in the Lord."

1 Samuel 2:1

"Always be joyful." 1 Thessalonians 5:16

We recognize God alone will fill our cavernous needs, and we trust God to do it. The result? We rejoice!

Psalm 35:10

All my bones shall say,

    “O Lord, who is like you,

delivering the poor

    from him who is too strong for him,

    the poor and needy from him who robs him?”

"Joy begins with a new heart and a new way of thinking."

And it's worth every effort, for this is the Joy of God.

The joy of salvation is incomparable.

The state of the Heart

Good people have goo things in their hearts, and so they say good things. But evil people have evil in their hearts, so they say evil things.

God is strong and can help you not to fall. He can bring you before His glory without any wrong in you and can give you great joy.

Create in me a pure heart, God, and make my spirit right again.

You change your life by changing your heart.

God has given us peace in our pain. He covers us all the time. Even we are out of control, He is still there.

Suffering for Being a Christian

¹² Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. ¹³ But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. 

Experiencing the Joy of Jesus makes us different. It affects us. Knowing what we know, seeing what we've seen, it just doesn't make sense to choose fleeting moment of earthly pleasure over eternal joy. It no longer seems appealing to grow bitter over our hurts instead of better. We find ourselves exactly where the Beatitudes said we would be - hungry for more of Jesus.

You can use this prayer for your own:

"Lord Jesus Christ, thank you for loving me and dying on the cross for me. I accept that I am a sinner and my sins have kept me from having real joy. I now take you into my heart as my personal Lord and Savior to follow and obey. Amen."
