If you are really going to have faith, you will have to resist some other things, such as doubts, unbelief and the pressure to conform to the culture around you.
Faith and not afraid. You can't have faith and still have fear. Fear is against faith; the two are not compatible within the same soul. And yet, many Christians try to live both. But you can't do it. You have to either resist the faith or resist the fear.
And when we spend all our time in fear, not in faith, it dominates us. If we want to regain our freedom, it's going to take some resistance - resisting fear, temptations, compromise,rationalization. If you can resist, you can have faith. If you can't resist, it's going to be difficult,because faith and fear don't go together in the human soul..
FAITH HOPES
Faith and hope go together beautifully.
Romans 8:28
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."
His purpose is to fulfill His love in your life.
FAITH ENTRUST
To experience the grace of God in your life is to admit who He is and who you are. It's to admit His greatness and His mystery, that you can't comprehend it all and you won't know all the answers. But you can entrust yourself to God because what is revealed about Him tells you that He loves you and He works in an unseen way in your life even through other people who He puts over you.
Matthew 17:20
"He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
It's just a matter of putting a faith that resists, hopes and entrusts into your life.
